Stockholm syndrome happens when the victim becomes attracted to his or her captor. The victim in this situation does as the captor says hoping to get things over with. The victim fulfills the captor’s demands generating a relationship between the two especially if the captor is nice and kind. The amount of time being in captivity and the continuous contact with the captor can brainwash the victim. London Syndrome in the other hand involves building a relationship with the captors by obeying and following orders to avoid getting killed. The victim in this situation must learn to live as a hostage and accept their situation in order to survive. Young children are always learning and experimenting with new things, but when they learn how to set fires many things can go wrong. The first stage leading to fire setting in interest and fascination for fire. In the second stage children between five and nine begin experimenting and playing with fires, at this stage children are too young to understand the consequences. The final stage is fire setting, it happens when children get older and continue to set fires even when they are aware of the consequences and what it can do. Pyromania refers to an impulse to set fires to things. The literature in pyromania in the book Criminal Behavior: A Psychological Approach does not support the reasons why a child would be fascinated by fire. Young children are too young to understand fire setting could have horrible consequences. One thing pyromania supports is that fire setting happens because children have little or no attention from their parents, or where unsupervised. Pyromania in this book provides studies based on people who have psychological or physical problems such as those who need to set fires to relieve anxiety or those who suffer from ADHD and cannot differentiate between right or wrong.
