The first significant reason lies in that once those selected Internet sites are blocked, Chinese citizens would doubt the intension of blocking those sites. To be specific, it is common that everyone has curiosity and wants to know secrets that others want to conceal. The deeper the government digs the hole to hide some secrets, the more people want to know the truth. That’s the reason why people are interested in celebrities’ scandals. In addition, the fact is that the government can’t block the selected websites completely. Most citizens can connect to the selected internet sites by different ways such as using foreign website connect dots or getting the screenshots by other Chinese who are out of China. Though some entertainment websites can be replaced by some local website, some wide-national websites which has the power to impact the internet all over the world, can’t be instead such as Google. Google Inc. claimed that they abandoned the realm name ends with “cn.” in 2003 which means technically they won’t occupy part of Chinese website market. The consequence shows that someone loses and someone gains in this game. The biggest winner must be other local Chinese companies who can instead of Google in Chinese market. However, advertisement companies which are the sponsors of Google Incorporation in the mainland of China pay a lot to exchange advertising their companies in Google websites. They not only lose assets but also have to find other companies to corporate. In addition, as Google Inc. runs a multi-national business, if it had kept running business, it have promoted the whole Chinese economy in the internet market.(Walder 232) Because it offers more work opportunities and give the Chinese internet companies a chance to enter the global internet
