One of the things our law is ground in is the moral system of religious belief. It is a fundamental part of who we are and even if you don’t believe somewhere in your past, someone was taught a moral standard from religious beliefs. One of the toughest points made by the pro-abortion side “rape and incest is a life crushing event for a woman, and having to carry the baby could cause her more harm”. If we look at the “life at conception” then a murder is a murder and we always err on the side of caution, so if this could be a murder we should not allow it, no matter the circumstance. We need to make sure we separate the baby from the rapist/abuser and not take the baby’s life just because of the father. When the mother’s life is in danger the hard choice should be made by the mother-to-be, is this harder than choosing who gets the vital transplant.
