The first very important step in Cellular Respiration is called glycolysis. Glycolysis happens in the cytoplasm of af cells. In glycolysis, there are two phases that happen. The investment phase and the harvest. When we consume food, glycolysis goes to work. The food that we consume is first sent into the investment phase. In the investment phase, the glucose that is in our food is transformed into fructose. This happens because the glucose needs to be broken down to get ATPs. After it is transformed into fructose, the fructose is then transformed into G3P. After this, the glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate is brought into the harvest phase. The final step happens in glycolysis happens in the harvest phase. The G3P is broken down again to get 2NADH. The 2NADH is then brought to the bank to be transformed once more into ATP. This is the thing that our membrane needs. …show more content…
The Krebs Cycle happens in the matrix of the mitochondria. The Pyruvate is brought over from Glycolysis to The Krebs Cycle. From there, The Krebs Cycle makes 2 ATPs, NADA, and 2 FDH2s. The NADA and the 2 FDH2s are the brought over the The Electron Transport
