Control politics have been around since America was born into a nation. The second amendment is dedicated to guns. It is the right to bear arms. With the recent controversy with guns, local and state/national have been trying to set their own laws. They both are fighting for power over power to control guns. According to the Brady’s campaign website “Every day, 48 children and teens are shot in murders, assaults, suicides & suicide attempts, unintentional shootings, and police intervention.” The media is able to broadcast any incident and make it a big deal. With the media always around, gun violence has gained a lot more awareness. With the awareness, the public and political leaders realize they need to address this issue.
The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence is a organization that is trying to stop all gun violence. They are composed of many different occupations and advocates to help prevent gun violence. The CSGV has an goal to raise awareness to prevent violence. They send out newsletters frequently to inform the public, which can be acquired on their websites, They also inform people of how some political leaders get their campaign money from gun lobbying groups. Gun violence will always happen, the best thing to do is raise awareness so the proper authorities have to make a difference.
