I love a good book because I feel strongly about the characters in the story. Often I have finished a book which left me longing to revisit the characters and to read more about them. The characters that impress me find their calling or their true purpose at the end of the book and come

Overall my experience with reading has been forced, and limited and has lost its original glamour. For me what reading novels brings to other people, I can obtain through other means that are more appealing for my way of thinking. While I don’t enjoy the act of reading a 600 page mandatory novel, I do enjoy the conversations that it can cause. Such as the debating, and sometimes the arguments, that come from the material within the carefully thought out cover pages can be intriguing and rewarding. However, to say that books have influenced my thoughts about the world, or have made…

I read the last page of books first to see if they are worth reading. It goes against what most people believe but it helps know if you are going to be accepting of how a book ends. The book The Lost Boy by David Pelzer ended in a way that made it worth reading and throughout the book it held up to the expectation of how the book will make the reader feel by the very end of the book. The author of the book lost boy is David Pelzer. David wrote a book series of three books including A Child Called It, The lost boy, and A Man Named Dave.…

As far back as I can remember, reading has always been a tremendous part of my life. Growing up, my mother introduced reading as one of the most important skills I could learn. Throughout my childhood, my entire family constantly incorporated reading into my daily schedule by helping me complete word searches, reading books, or rehearsing the ABC’s. Every night before bed, my mother and I would read a page out of a children’s bible book called Blessings Every Day as opposed to the classic Green Eggs and Ham. Reading has taught me how to exercise my imagination, how to effectively communicate with others, and relieves my stress.…

My Aesthetic When I sit down and read a book, I like it to tell me all of the pieces throughout the story. It can be suspenseful, but give me all of the details. The main thing I dislike is when I am finished reading, sitting there wondering what happened. I contemplate if this or that happened and I normally do not come to a conclusion over arguing back and forth with myself about how it should have ended. These past couple weeks I have read some interesting stories.…

I take pride of every experience I have been through, because I believe that even the bad ones shake our core and awaken something new. I am always on a mission to challenge stereotypes, but I guess in the case of “book love” I am defeated. As a young girl, my parents paved the way for me to experience life through my senses. And so, I was constantly encouraged to open up and learn from our travels, life incidents, challenges and just about anything we went through as a family. My father cherished books, and we still have the huge library room he made to keep books he collected through the years.…
