"The Paid Piper" was my favorite essay, because it was short, sweet, fun to read, and gave me the curiosity to find out what was "Gidsy.com". In this essay, Kenarov describes how Sarajevo has changed through the years, we can notice this when he says “It’s early February, normally the snow-iest month in Bosnia’s Dinaric Alps, but Bjelasnica’s trails are barely covered and¬ -entirely devoid of skiers.” This shows that the climate changes are affecting the living of the people in there. Additionally, I like the way Kenarov mixed the present with the history of Sarajevo, because it gives a sense of the entire place, and the culture. In conclusion, “Bombing Sarajevo” gives a valuable lesson to the reader we can see this when we read this quote, “This is absolutely the worst winter I can remember,” says Krneta, popping another beer. “But I love it anyway.” Meaning that we always have to see the positive side of everything, even though everything looks that it is against us, because we can discover new
