assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. Assessing constitutes gaining information and data about the patient. In addition to this, it is the responsibility of the nurse to interpret and analyze the data attained. Diagnosing bears its own seperate and valuble place. The diagnosis step has an RN take the information found during the assessment phase, and using it to determine the cause of the patient's symptoms. This step is integral to determining the type of care which a patient should receive. The next step in the process would be to plan out a care plan for a patient. This may involve setting goals, and determining a …show more content…
During step five the research itself begins. Through the means of data collection chosen in the plan, the researchers log the data that they get. This step is
similar to implementation step of the nursing process, as the plan begins and the conductors record the data.
Step 6: data analysis and interpretation. During this step, the researchers use the data to come to a conclusion. This can be the answer to the original question posed to be solved. In addition this conclusion can take form by proving or debunking the hypothesis. This step is essentialy the evaluation stage of the nursing process.
Step 7: presenting and disseminating the finding. This step involves a formal releasing of the research though essays and such. This spreads the conclusion and also allows others to replicate the research to see if they yeild the same conclusion. This step does not have a direct countyerpart in the nursing process.
In conclusion it is appearent that there are many similarities to be found between the processes. This can be accounted for because both processes derived from the scientific method, and emphasized what was important to its own
