Processes as a visual, auditory and tactile response has to process more information from to going five types of pathways from stimulus, sensory, spinal cord, motor neuron and a response happen. Compare to involuntary response such as the patellar reflex involves only the receptor, the spinal cord and the effector to get a response to happened (Saladin, 2012). An involuntary stretch reflex happen because sensory receptor get stimulated from the tapping of the tendon muscle (Saladin, 2012). This tapping of the patellary ligament stretches the quadriceps femoris muscles of the thigh, sending signal to the CNS/brain to response to the stimulus. Then opposite effect causes the motor neurons to contract the hamstring muscle of the thigh. The differences in reaction to both voluntary and involuntary response vary in processing speed of neurons. To test the speed of reaction time of the nervous system, my group experimented to find the reaction time from voluntary and involuntary response. Comparing the visual reaction time, my group hypothesize that the reaction rate is slower in non-dominant hand than the visual dominant hand because we use more of our dominant hand. For dominant hand response for sensory involving the visual, tacticle and auditory, we said that the auditory response have the fastest response and visual response to have the slowest time because we said that the processing of visual information takes more time to get a response. For involuntary response, we said with the Jendrassik maneuver perform the distance is less thus better reflex reaction because coordination is more stable. Determining the reaction and response time can vary with different types of stimulus used thus, sensory stimulus involving visual, tacticle or audiotory take more time for response to occur compare to involuntary stimulus
