Technology Taking Over Society Have you ever wonder what this world has come to in the form of technology and communication? Just sit and think what ways does technology play in communication? In today’s society technology plays a major role in communication. Technology comes in all different forms not just phones. Whatever happen to the good old landline? What about only being able to send email through computer? Well, texting that never existed 20 years ago, if you needed to get ahold of someone you either called or paged the person trying to be contacted. Keeping your phone on during the night or next to bedside can affect your sleep by urging one to use the electronic device instead of sleeping.(The negative effects, 2015) When one should be getting 10 hours of sleep at night they get less because before one goes to sleep they have to check their device for messages or calls. Which now urges them to start messaging or call someone, which now is taking away from that sleep and relaxation time. Now only does it take away from sleep, it also takes away from relaxation time. All these new devices allows children in adults to take technology with them. It is a way of life, that some cannot live without. Just think when was the last time your watch a movie with family or friends and each and every one of them pulled out their electronic devices. Let’s just put those away and get rid of technology and enjoy a movie without interruptions. One last thing that electronic devices cause is aggression. Increased aggression occurs because of not talking to someone about an issue, they blast the issue online or with social media which makes the matter worse than it really is.
