The Mysterious Stranger is a novel written by American author, Mark Twain. In the novel the main antagonist, a young angel named Satan, visits three young boys and shares his views on the annoyance that is the human race along with messing with the fates of several villagers for better or worse. The Mysterious Stranger focuses on the many aspects that make the human race, human. The most noticeably touched on themes were moral sense, the ambiguity of good and evil, happiness, and free will. These topics combined in society determine our values and even how we are valued. Yet these values change from culture to culture making for conflict and confusion between humans.
