The Most Dangerous Game is a wonderful story. The author of this story in Richard Connell. The short story is full of conflicts. It also has weird twist and turns. Half of them you do not even expect. The setting of the story takes place in the Caribbean on a large island. Some of the conflicts that happen are Man vs. Man, Man vs. Nature, and Man vs. Self. Nature, this conflict is shown with the example of him trying to hide from General Zaroff. Rainsford uses nature to defeat General Zaroff. First, Rainsford dug a hole and put sharp sticks in it and covered it with a leafs that were woven together. With this pit, one of General Zaroff’s dogs got killed. Then, Rainsford uses a weak tree and tied a knife to it and made it so that it would fling up and kill someone or seriously injure someone. With this tree idea it killed Ivan. Last, Rainsford uses the water that is surrounding the island to escape General Zaroff. This story shows a few Man vs. Nature. Last is Man vs. Self, this is shown through how Rainsford acts.
