Logically, what makes up a person is their brain and mental abilities. Some may believe that alternative organisms also have a brain, so what makes up person can’t be something that separate species have as well. Although the point brought up is relevant, the human brain is completely different than any dissimilar organism in the world. To put into factual terms, @scienceabc states, ¨Human beings are capable of self-analysis, mental time travel, imagination, abstract reasoning, cultural establishment, and morality. These higher level skills separate us from the beasts, and form the basis of our global culture as a species.¨ The way the human brain works is extremely complex and can act in ways that animals wouldn't even be able to imagine. Certain areas of the humans brain are not present in different species brains, and other species cannot experience empathy or beauty. Dissimilar organisms can’t express the sense of moral character that a person does, and they can’t perform tasks that can make a huge difference in people's lives.
