The Maya Culture was one of great advancements, but also great distresses. The area of the Maya was the area also known as the “Meso American” time.
The Mayans discovered and invented many tools we still use today Such as the calendar and the clock. They were known to have many parties and feasts. Men would go out and find animals to kill and eat; they shot different animals with bows and arrows, and some with sling shots. Women, on the other hand, would collect berries, and fruits or vegetables, and water. Everyone in the town, except for the leader, would participate to collect enough food and drink for everyone to enjoy. The most parties took place right after sacrifices, to celebrate their success at pleasing the gods.
They invented their own writing systems called Maya Glyphs. Maya Glyphs are basically a form of Hieroglyphs, but with different signs.
