Procrastination In 'The Master Taiors And The Teachers'

The Master Tailor and The Teachers Skirt revolves around the procrastination of characters. The tailor and the characters in the story procrastinate multiple things and it can affect people. Everyone tends to procrastinate at some point in time though some people tend to do more than others. The story shows how procrastination negatively effects people and the tailors business as well as the customers as the tone of the story follows the mood. A teacher comes into the tailor shop to get a skirt made. He tells her multiple times he will have it done, though the skirt is never made. She ends up wasting her time on multiple occasions. Obviously, she begins to get frustrated as time goes. Heath changes the tone of the story to accommodate for the changing of the feelings that the teacher has at the end of the story. The tone at the beginning of the story is happy and normal. The tone starts to make mild changes from the happy feeling to more of a stern tone. The reader begins to understand the frustration the teacher begins to feel as she keeps going to get her skirt and receives the bad news. Heath helps express the frustration by using dialogue. The last time the teacher came into the shop, the tailor looked very stressed. For the first time the readers see a different side of the tailor. His family even seemed a little sad. He states that he is hot, and other than this moment the audience only sees happiness and an energetic side of him. The tailor’s procrastination caught up with him and he realized he was about to lose a customer because the product was not finished. The tailor lost two customers that day.
