The reason that the United States attacked the Japan is because of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The United States bombed two towns in Japan called Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 was the first time an atomic bomb had been used. This bombing killed tens of thousands of the city’s population. The second bomb was dropped city of Nagaski three days later and killed about 40,000 people.
