“Yes, sir” Rittihuca said then ran away to her room where she sat there for 88 days. Days felt like years, and 88 years is a very long time. Finally, it was time for Rittihuca to Spring from her room and inform her friends of what they have to do. She ran down the hall this time her hair flowing in the beautiful fresh air. Rico and Gretchen were fully on board with Rittihuca. They took back their spells and helped Rittihuca down the long ladder to Earth. The sites Rittihuca saw were even worse than the ones on T.V. but she wandered around Earth creating flowers and plants. The walked from one edge of the Earth to the other until finally she climbed back up the old wooden ladder, where bad news awaited her.
“Rittihuca” Rico whispered, “Unfortunately, things will not go back to complete normalness until 92 days will pass. Sir. Smartie has informed me that the normalness will last for 93 before it begins to get colder again. On the positive side, it will get warmer again and then colder. It will continue to do this until the end of time.”
“What, that’s terrible but good I don’t know I have ruined Earth”, Rittihuca’s tears were as cold as the weather on

The Little Prisoner by Jane Elliott This book was a powerful if not over powering story of a child whose step father abused her on every level of abuse; physical, mental, sexual, and emotional. The author of this book Jane, a pseudonym for the actual child, made the book come full circle. It started in the court room and was brought back to that pivotal moment when she is forced to face her attacker as an adult. It shows the reader the reaction of someone who clearly has no understanding the effects the child abuse Jane endured because the officer treated her like she was overreacting.…
