First thing, I am going to go over is who was wrong in this story, was it the whites or Indians. Secondly, I am going to go over Cuyloga's punishment for True Son. Lastly, we are going to go over Richter's habit of playing with language. Now, I am going to explain why the whites and Indians are in the wrong. The whites were in the wrong because they hated the Indians and would kill them on sight. In addition, they would take over the Indians land and kill them. And having bad feelings about the Indians and how they lived and the color of them. Some things I like that he uses is at the begging of the book, chapter 2 pg.9 he says (Richer Conad)”A place where you can’t tramp me with your big foot”. That comes in to play when True son and Del are talking on the trail to the white settlement and True son says (Richer Conad) “I’ll never go back to Pennsylvania”. Then towards the middle of the book they get back to the white settlement were True sons real dad was living and welcomed him back. But True son was very anxious about meeting his father so when they meet his dad and held out his hand and Del Said in Delaware. Pg.26 chapters 5 “Put your hand out and shake his”. Then on pg. 35 chapter 6 he is with his family and they try to talk to him by calling him his real name that his dad gave him. But he replied in a true Indian way by using his Indian name saying “True Son my real name”. Now I will go over the end of the book language that goes on in this book. When he told the white people on the boat they were going into an ambush the Indians say pg.115 chapter 15 (Richer Conad) “Why don’t you go with your friends? Why come back to us?”
