The legislative branch is made up of two chambers of Congress known as the Senate and the House of Representatives. The upper house of the United States Congress is also identified as the Senate consists of a president, president pro tempore, majority and minority leader, majority and minority whip. The lower house of the United States Congress also identified as the House of Representatives entails of a speaker, majority and minority leader, majority and minority whip. In order to be a Senator the individual must be at least thirty years of age or older. They have to be a U.S. legal resident for a minimum of nine years.
