I just had to go over to it; something was compelling me. So, slowly and carefully I went over, hoping that if I opened it nothing bad would happen. What if a shark came out and bit me, or a dinosaur came and grabbed me to bite my head off? Perhaps I’m going a bit too far with my imagination now, but still I was curious. Gradually, things started appearing in the door and it all became lighter. The setting of a large dining room came into view with a pretty garden that you could see through the grand window; next came two young children, one boy and one girl, bounding in and each sat at a tall chair. A tall man with brown hair and blue eyes walked through what must be the back door and greeted the children with a big happy smile and sat down delicately. A woman followed, bringing in the children’s tea, and then food for herself and the man. She looked so happy, so relaxed! She almost looked a bit like me. Maybe it was the blonde hair, the brown eyes, the tall upper body. I had an extraordinary sense that she was me in the future. My appearance still looked the same, but I seemed so much happier there. It was like a different version of me; so different from now. I was speechless. I just wanted to be that happy, now! Should I go in? Leave this all behind, all the sadness, all the disappointment. Should I make my life much happier
