For years they were inseparable. Hassan would do anything for Amir. “Hassan never denied me anything. And he was deadly with his slingshot” (4). This quote proves what Amir thought of Hassan. He knew that Hassan was loyal to him. However, Amir didn’t always do the right thing for Hassan. There were many times when Amir would take advantage of his friends loyalty. Along the way, he meets Farid, who was simply his driver but ended up helping him find Sohrab.
