It starts with Granny laying in a bed with her daughter and doctor by her side and then has flashbacks to Granny’s past where she reflects on what her life was like and things that she was proud of. This story is told in the third person omniscient, but it often seems like it is told by Granny through her eyes. During the story it seems we are in Granny’s head for most of the time that it feels like the story really is being told from first person. What gives it away is some of the phrases where there narrator uses “she” to describe Granny, that’s when we know it is third person omniscient. Granny’s dialogue cannot match what comes from her thoughts. She cannot cough up the words for people to take her seriously and just sounds like she is complaining a lot. Towards the end Granny can no longer understand the people around her and vice versa. The ending is kind of satisfying considering we see Granny end what was a great life for her but also feel some emotions for her because of her last thoughts and things she wish she could have carried out
