INTRODUCTION
Pho, the most common and famous Vietnamese’s street food, and it only exist stretches only a hundred years back in Vietnam 's recent past. But in Australia and many other western countries, people are also very familiar with Pho as Vietnamese cuisine. In Vietnamese history, it has three important stages that remarked Vietnamese pho became common Asian food in some western society which has close relation with Vietnam. To justify the reason behind the popularity of Pho in some western countries, this essay will argue that through the history of Pho, Pho has been through stages of adoption, adaption, and admiration in some western societies, but not yet assimilation. …show more content…
Pho restaurant has frequently been visited by the majority of western people, more and more western people are getting attracted by Pho’s flavourful clear taste. Therefore, the server of Pho has been gradually adapted as more “westernised Pho” serve. The amount of Vietnamese restaurant in Western countries are keep increasing, and this positively proved Pho’s popularity and widely adoption among western society. Furthermore, Pho even has its own Pho- focused arts production by western artists has indeed shown western people’s admiration of Vietnamese Pho. Finally, as Pho has only existed around 40 years in western society, it does not obvious have assimilated yet, but it does have few signs that showing it will be assimilated sooner or
