Born in a small house on Milk Street in Boston, next to the Old South Church, on January 6, 1706, Benjamin Franklin’s achievements’ brought him recognition and fame throughout the U.S. Many of his ideas and inventions brought different and unique solutions to a struggling colony. his lighting rod; a tool to attract lighting to the ground without risking damages to the house, the first political cartoon of the U.S, author of Poor Richard’s Almanac, and his aid against the stamp act of 1765, but most importantly was involved in the five-member committee that helped draft the Declaration of Independence in 1776 while that same year was sent to France to enlist their help against the British empire.
