In Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah wrote, “ Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” This text foreshadows the Virgin birth of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s sign given to us from himself is the Son of God, Jesus Christ. It also tells of Mary, who will give a virgin birth to a son who shall be called Immanuel.
