With having a team made up of employees from diverse areas and expertise which is a cross-functionalism team the key to success is trust (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2013). In an actual team if one person fails the whole team fails, therefore, having faith in your fellow teammates is key. Having trust means that individuals have confidence in the behaviors and objectives of others (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2013). Trust is not something that is quickly built however there is tool that provides guidelines to help construct and sustain trust within a cross-functional team (Kreitner & Kinicki, 2013).
