Personal Narrative To The Paranormal

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been sensitive to the paranormal. It started when I was about three. My great grandmother had just passed away. I was at the age where I understood death, but didn’t necessarily understand about ghosts and spirits. As I grew up, Mom would always tell me stories about how she heard me talking through the baby monitor. She said I would have conversations, but I was the only one talking. At first, she thought I had an overactive imagination, but the more it occurred, the more she realized the conversations were too in depth for me to have made up. I would answer questions, ask questions, and pause for a response. The older I got the less it happened.

My parents and I move about three years ago. I figured since we were getting out of the house, I wouldn’t have to worry about the ghost anymore. My room is connected to the guest bedroom with a jack and jill bathroom. The bedroom has a bed that was my dad’s grandfathers. This was one of the items we kept in the storage room. About a month after we moved in, I started experiencing similar phenomenon. Fear would suddenly control me. I would only go in there if I had to. Then, I started hearing noises. It sounded like someone was hitting something against the wall. It was very frequent, but then it began to happen less and less. In the past year, I have developed generalized anxiety. Anytime I am in the room, I start to feel like I can’t breath. If I am going to be in there for long periods of time, it cannot be silent. You can hear them when it’s silent. The voices aren’t like ours. They don’t use real words. It’s like they completely block out sound. The normal sounds of silence seem to somehow become even quieter. You can’t alway hear them, but they can always hear

It was a night like most others in the abandoned ghost town. All I saw was darkness and shadows creeping around every corner. I heard the howls of coyotes and the hooting of owls through the midnight air. The whistling wind rang the rusty, wind chimes dangling from the old run-downed mansion. The sign above read “Muddy Creek Manor”.…

My uncle took me to his friend’s apartment, and at that moment he pulled out what appeared to be a very ancient Ouija board.…

I walked to the front door to look through the peep hole but, due to my five foot stature, all I could see was the top of my porch. I listened quietly through the door. I never answered the door when I was home alone, some habit I had gotten after being reminded by my mother a thousand times, and I had a system worked out with my friends that they would yell through the door if it was them. I waited patiently but I heard nothing but flies buzzing and dogs parking from far away. I started to walk back to the office, chalking it up to the neighborhood kids when I heard my back gate open.…

We had been planning on going to this old abandoned house for some time, and now we were finally going to see if it was truly haunted or not. Well, as we walked I had noticed a blueish, greenish, truck driving down the silent back road. We really didn’t pay much attention until it started to get creepy and the truck started following us. By the time we had noticed we were already close to the house and we decided to dart into the woods, to a tree that we could climb and see what was going from. Our hearts were pounding from the anxiety, and I had noticed both of us had our hands clenched around our pocket knives that were probably a little too big to be carrying around in public.…
