When I was in middle school, my grandfather passed away. He and I had always been close. He had a huge impact on shaping me into the man I am today. God did not want my grandfather to be in pain anymore, so he summoned him to heaven. The next week, I went to church with her and began to feel better about my grandfather’s death. I began to accept, and remembered that god has a plan for all of us. So while my spirituality was shaken by a death, my role model was able to reinforce my beliefs, and restore my faith.
