Quote #3 This quotation is written byJonathan Edwards in, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God". This sermon was written during the time of The Great Awakening where many people where converting or "awakening" to convert to be Christians. Puritans beleived in the concept of predestination, where God already has a plan and everything that happens is for a reason, good or bad. Edwards wrote this sermon because he wanted people recognize their sins and to repent for the bad things that they have done. It is clearly shown in,"Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" that God looks down at us humans, and in His eyes we are seen as puny, and weak, so easily fooled, and manipulated.…

James calls the tongue, “a fire”; something that defiles the whole body; a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With our tongue we confess Christ as our Lord and Savior and with our tongue we curse Him.…

    6. To create a good conclusion, your speech hopefully had well-spoken three main points. The conclusion reviews why your topic is important, the main points and will leave the audience with a new way of thinking or a task to complete. We remember best what we hear last, so a good conclusion needs to be written to almost perfection, including wrapping up loose ends that may have been left in the speech, showing your passion or commanding the audience to take action. If your speech was well performed and organize, usually a conclusion will fall into place and easily be produced from restating main points and calling your audience to action.…

Language differs in style and format according to different contexts, which is the purpose of a particular situation. People speak and write to maintain their social relation in their family life and within their community.…
