For this reason, it is a vital tool for the church, that just so happens to be free. Social media stands to do two things: engage your congregation and reach out to the community. Social media takes many different form rather it be Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. It is important for the user of these tools to realize their own purpose of using this relatively new technology to send the message of the gospel. In other words social media should be used to care for the congregates of the church and share to gospel to those who do not believe, thus comes the encouragement and outreach of social media. The use of social media should begin slow if it is not something that is already integrated within ones church. If this is something new then start slow, nothing could be worse then trying to establish your church on five different social media sites all at once.
