School vouchers are the way to getting around the problem of the gap in education quality, but some believe they are not the answer. The quality of public schools and public school education have a big impact on more than just the students who attend the school, they play a big role in the neighborhood and the people around them. Educational institutions; no matter what level of education, provide opportunities for much than just education. They provide resources, serve as a place to meet and also create opportunities for employment and more. Schools provides employment for teachers, janitors, cafeteria workers, secretary and more. Now you not only have an increase in quality within the school, but now neighborhoods and communities are being offered resources they didn’t have before as well as an increase in employment. The school voucher system does nothing to help address this issue since it allows people to pick a school they want to attend that is outside of their given school zone not solving the problems that students peers …show more content…
This also means that the states decide on what requirements to which the student must satisfy to receive a voucher if they choose to use the voucher program at all. These policies can differ from looking at income and aiding low income families or looking at kids who are in a failing school. Doing it this way may turn an eye to people in states who may be experiencing a numerous amount of different difficulties. Meaning that in a state whose policy looks to aid low income families, someone whose family may not be considered “low income”, but is in a failing school, would have no way of getting to a the better
