The Patrol Benevolent Association (PBA) chief criticized Chief Bill Bratton and Mayor Bill de Blassio for the police killings (Liebert, 2015). The PBA chief deemed the two responsible for inciting Brinsley to violence by criticizing the police for the unarmed killing of Eric Gardner (Liebert, 2015).
