The Importance Of Physics

Improved Essays
Physics can be intimidating, and people often want to know about the prerequisites to start learning physics. All you really need is an open mind, a desire to learn, and a willingness to accept that 90% of what you thought about the universe might be wrong. We all know we have a lot of development that has not yet been answered so that is why we need to study physics. As a sailor it has a big help to us someday because we can apply physic in our daily lives.
It is not easy to study physics, but our teacher said never give up! Try and try until you find a solution, which is nice because she was very smart to begin with. First, there are prerequisites just to understand 1st year freshman level Newtonian motions: Fluency in Calculus, Geometry, Trig, Algebra, Vectors and maybe Statistics/Probability. You really need to be mathematically mature meaning depth of understanding beyond just solving textbook problems but be able to apply them in real world situations. Now, it is possible to understand basic physics 1 without all this math. After all, this is physics not mathematics that I have a hard time with. However, it will be much harder. Math is a tool to make physics easier. Doing physics without math is like trying to write a book without a language.

I would have never had any idea of how to do those problems before, so that shows I have learned a lot and I have made it. (Well, almost.) Physics does not come easily to me and I am proud that I persevered and put in my best effort. I am also proud of going into the circle problems with NO understanding whatsoever and coming out with that being my favorite thing. I also am proud of how I have been able to work with hypothetical situations and solve for values. I am proud of my class participation. Although I didn’t speak up as much as I should have, I paid close attention and made good use of my class

Biology is the science of life or living matter in all forms and phenomena, especially with reference to origin, growth, reproduction, structure and behavior. Living beings have the desire to discover who they truly are and how they came to be the person that they are today. Many people have specific beliefs in an ultimate being that rules over all else, but most of these beliefs cannot be proven. The study of biology is based upon facts and hypotheses that can be tested and supported. Without biology it would be difficult to understand the beauty of life, and how living organisms are created and how the basic metabolic processes help organisms survive.…
