Physical working conditions entails working in areas that are not ventilated, cramped or noisy. It also considerations exposure to toxic fumes or chemicals and sitting or standing for a prolonged amount of time. This constantly happens in Grenada which causes many individuals to quit. 90 percent of employees around the world are unsatisfied with their physical work environment (Gausepohl, 2016). A major factor is lack of privacy. Therefore, the work space should be well designed, offering privacy. These increases concentration, and decreases interruption. Giving feedback to employees about their performance increases their commitment. This concept has led to the development of landscape or open offices. These are offices are constructed for working activities that are both computerized and paper based, in large rooms. The offices of persons in higher positions are now only auditorily separated. Open spaces were designed with the concept that stronger supervision will lead to netter performance by employees. This was a valid statement until recent studies proved otherwise; attention was the key to efficiency (Peczöli & Szabó, 1999). These concepts are seldom practiced in Grenada.
