If it is something being said about them or something going around that they said that is not true. It always finds its way to me, which in some cases I do not mind but depending on what is going on, I will stay out of it, if it is something major. In a situation, if something is being said about that person and they come ask me how to fix it and tell the person they really did not say it. First thing I tell them is, DO NOT go ask the people you have been hearing it from go straight to the person whose mouth it is coming out of and ask them politely to stop saying what they are saying and spreading rumors IF they are even spreading those rumors. Second thing I usually tell them is to confront a teacher or someone in charge and have the teacher talk to the class without them thinking you asked the teacher. Third, if you have done all that and confronted them and had a teacher do something about it, I always tell them just to ignore it and brush it off. Especially if it is about them because they are the only one who knows if it is true or not and can tell the people who confront them about it the truth.
