He uses another example, “ For example, the sea is described as wine red, people's faces are sometimes green and sheep are purple.” In this example he uses Analogy, saying that Homer changes the color and sees the color different, from what they really are. He also mentions how in different cultures, they can not see different colors. How is that considered not normal, what do we consider normal? If we had people who only talked English in our class and then one student came in and talked Spanish or a different language. We would be considered that weird and not normal because we are not used to people talking another language other than English. There are many other scenarios where change has happened. Another example would be that we had always had Men as presidents, but then comes Hillary who ran to be president. Hillary may not have won, but she ran and was close to Winning. I like to wear nail polish, and one day as I was wearing nail polish to school. A teacher then told me that I was not allowed to wear nail polish to school. The next day I took off the nail polish because I did not feel confident enough to wear it to school again. I know that in some schools they do not let little kids wear nail polish, though I do not know how it affects their educations.I Will continue to wear nail polish, in hope that schools will understand that nail polish has nothing to do with a child's education.Saleem(2016) makes us think more about “what is at stake”.
