When I was little I trouble with talking, and reading. I can remember nobody could understand my speech because I left all the endings of my words and spoke too fast so that no one could comprehend what I was trying to communicate to them. My mother and I spent hours teaching me the basics of speaking and sounds of every letter. In addition, I had trouble with reading. It would take me hours to read something and to comprehend it. I can recall that my mother patiently taught me the fundamentals of reading and would sit next to me helping me learn each word. My mother would even help me read my school books. For instance, we would sit there each reading one page aloud to each other so that I can learn how to read and remain calm since I was not facing my problem of reading on my own. Although I had to endure many trials in my education, I learned the importance of patience and perseverance. My trials only granted me with perseverance to overcome anything. My love of learning still affects my life since I am always asking question of why or how come. In addition, I am always thinking deeply about whatever I am doing. For instance, at work I am always finding new and easier way to complete the projects I am given because I was given the love of learning. My family also greatly influenced my life in and outside of school, which has benefited my whole life. Homeschooling provided me with an incredible one in life time opportunity allowing me to reach educational goals that I did not know was possible.
