Species had to adapt to the drastic change in weather so in today’s warm weather world they have adapted as well. Issues with the glaciers melting is that it is making the water cooler and therefore changing their environment of the fish and other species living in those areas. Glaciers are not the only signs of a change in weather. Hurricanes have become more common and stronger due to saturation levels. The Earth and its inhabitants have seemed to adapt to the temperature changes that have shifted life several times. In the 1940’s people were not really concerned about the environment. In fact there are still large trash piles that can be found on preexisting farms. Weather has never been constant and different variations tend to occur every few years regardless of weather norms in a particular area. Believing strongly that the environment should be taken care of is a necessity. It is obvious that the Earth does not regenerate raw materials and natural resources quickly so what the world does have should be protected and not taken for granted. The biggest thing is that people are coming out and saying that the reason global warming is happening is because we drive to many vehicles and industries let out an excess of pollution every day. How about the atomic bombs that the U.S. government dropped on Japan in World War II? These people attack the places and things that are tangible, but if thought about logically those bombs killed hundreds of thousands of people and radiation killed many of them. Maintaining the belief that pollution is the main cause and that everyone should ride bikes and not drive cars is ignorant. Studying the whole issue is the only way to reach an actual conclusion. Protecting the environment needs to happen more often and certain measures should be taken to protect it. What we have is all we are ever going to have and if it gets destroyed we will have nothing. Taking into consideration the past, people can at least see that the Earth has heated up before and melted the ice. Perhaps now it is simply finishing the job that it started thousands of years ago. Before everyone jumps on the wagon that pollution is the devil and that all things that let of emission fumes should be banned from society, they should really thing about the other factors that have led the ozone layer to deteriorate. No one could imagine trying to keep an entire race from the heat of the sun for 4.6 billion years and not getting messed up at least a little bit. So many years of small amounts of pollution has caused the ozone layer to become thinner than it once was. Pollution is not the only issue in this world. Understanding Global Warming and all the components of the issue will help the human race to begin preventing the further deterioration of the ozone layer. Open minds will be the solution to the problem and protecting the miracle that we live in every
