Gradually, it will not only make the boys think that they should not do things freely as long as it is considered girly, it will also give them an idea that playing with dolls is girlish and weak, and when they see girls playing with dolls they begin to see girls as a weaker group, that’s how stereotypes forms.So we can see gender inequality is not an issue that affects women alone. Men should participate in advocating for equal rights and privileges, as well as representation, discrimination and illogical treatment initiated by gender disparity. Proper early education for children is especially important to make sure that future gender discriminated action is strangled in the cradle. Gender equality is not achievable without the participation of men in the event (Jacobsen 57). When men engage in the fight against discrimination, gender inequality speeds up the process. At home men should help the women in doing household tasks such as laundry, food preparation, and cleaning; especially when the woman is also working.
