Men are also the primary perpetrators of gender disparity and discrimination (Jacobsen 78). In most cases of gender violence, the men are the main perpetrators of violence (Peterson 98). The media play a huge role in the transfer of gender-based information. The social media is the primary place where messages that promote gender inequality appear (Ruxton 13). Even today, in media, men still use derogatory term to depreciate women publicly, they tend to neglect the achievement and success that women achieve, and only trying to find faults on their appearances and dress code. This situation may due to the fact that the organizations are under the leadership of men who do not personally support the idea of gender equality. The men only work under the umbrella of the organizations advocating for gender equality, but in real sense they participate in sex discrimination events.
