The government has blocked past criminals from entering our country in order to keep Australians safe. There is never a time for criminal behaviour to be acceptable, people can’t think that they can commit a crime such as abusing a person and then be allowed live a happy life travelling and going on holidays. Chris Brown was sentenced to a prison term. It is shown that Chris Brown did not show remorse for his attack on Rihanna and he stated during an MTV interview that he was 'confused ' that some people wanted to see him in prison for the attack. Why would anyone want a repeatedly violent person to enter our country, a person who does not feel remorse, nor care about his actions.
Chris Brown is not the only celebrity to be banned from countries. Brad Pitt was banned from China for starring in "7 Years In Tibet.” Lindsay Lohan banned from India for failing to obtain a work visa and lying about assisting in a child labour sweatshop raid. Miley Cyrus was banned from China in 2009 because she was photographed making a "slanty-eyed" gesture with a group of her friends.
These celebrities have been banned from countries due to non violent crimes and people are arguing that Chris Brown should be allowed to enter Australia when he has repeatedly acted violently and assaulted people. People like Chris Brown and other criminals should not be allowed entry into our country.
