The discussions on class Sage 450 and several information that I had read, have led me to ask several questions about the diversity food of the cafeteria in St Andrews University. To find out the diversity food of the cafeteria I 've thought a several questions, What do we understand by a healthy and balanced diet? What nutrients are not important for health? How are food nutrients classified? What foods contain these nutrients? How are the necessary nutrients established? and more facts. Some of these questions are very hard to explain but I will try to explain as better as I can. So, in the following paragraphs I will provide the answers of this questions. First of all I want to say that we must feed properly because food is essential to life. But also every day there are more people get sick and die from problems related to poor nutrition. Heart disease, obesity, high cholesterol and diabetes are just some of these diseases that are affecting the health of many adults and young people and children around the world and …show more content…

The first key to a healthy and balanced diet is to eat any kind of food. There are more important questions related with this topic " What nutrients are not important for health? Some foods have a plastic function, because they help to build the framework of our body and to form muscle tissue masses through good quality protein and calcium mineral elements.
