American poet Criss Jami once said, “If you're waiting until you feel talented enough to make it, you'll never make it.” He is saying that success did not come from talent or waiting for talent, but with determination and doing it. Determination means a strong decision about a person’s passion that he or she will never give up no matter what happen. Moreover, determination can lead people to their goals and avoid wavering and getting lost. It also can pull back the peoples that are dazzled by temptation back on track of their purpose of life. Determination will keep us in track of the correct decision in the future. When I was in 5rd grade, my older sister Rose and I started ballet class, following a two-year break from it. Rose has a great passion in ballet, but her inflexibility made some of the moves hard, unattractive, and comical. However, her determination led to practice moves and splits every night. After a few years of painful practice, Rose can easily perform perfect splits and gorgeous ballet moves. Even though Rose does not have talent in ballet, but her determination helps her to hit her goal and be good at it. On the other hand, I was talented in ballet that I could even do perfect splits from my first ballet class, but I did not like ballet. I did not practice a lot like Rose, and one day I realize Rose was better than me. As I was undetermined about ballet, and did not know what should I do that I wasted my talent. Temptations try to pull people always from their decision, but determination helps people to not be shaken and keep people in the right path to success. Three months ago, I attended a tennis tournament, but I was too nervous that I even forgot how to hold my racket, and obviously I was the last place. After the tournament my heart felt uncomfortable every time I stand on the tennis court, I thought about to stop playing it, but my determination has kept me in, and now I am fully prepared to win the game. If it was not my determination I would have stop my favorite sport just because of a small failing and regret about it for my whole life, but my determination helped me to make to the right decision. Moreover, One of my friends Kayla determined to read the Bible everyday and meditates on it from an early age, and when she was 10th grade she went to Spain as an exchange student. In Spain, Kayla had a crush on one boy, but when she meditates on God words she realizes God did not want Kayla to be with that boy. So, Kayla pushed down her feeling and gave up her crush, and now Kayla are glad that she gave up her crush, because she realizes she would have been hurt if she has a relationship with her crush.
