Desire and Passion!

“Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve” (Napoleon Hill)

Desire is a very important part of attracting the universal laws into your life. Can you remember when you wanted something or even someone with a passion? It felt so right, so good, and so exciting. You could almost touch and feel it without being near it, and you could smell it, taste and hear it and it 's nowhere near you. You thought about it day and night till you were obsessed with it, and then all of a sudden….. you got it! Yes, you achieved what you set out to do, and at first you didn’t have a clue how to obtain it. The gorgeous girl or the cute guy at college or work that you had a major crush on. You kept imagining going

You have to expect it to happen and this in turns reinforces the desire. If you don’t expect the outcome to come true, then how can you see the dream? As you use the visualisation techniques, I will go through later, you will start to see exactly how you want things to play out. You have to see it happen in your mind 's eye over and over again. This will create the positive vibrations in your mind and will become stronger the more you practice. So you have to expect the outcome to be true. You have to believe the outcome as already happened; otherwise it remains a mere wish and not a real …show more content…
I have often heard that golf is a mind game, as you can be playing brilliant one day and terrible the next. Because you have one bad shot this starts to trigger off events that if left to get out of control will keep your mind off the game rather than on it. That’s why there are so few players out of millions, who are at the top of their game the majority of the time. Are you going to let one bad shot put you off your game? After such a shot, learn from it and then put it aside, it is now history. with the next shot you will have more knowledge than the last, so apply that knowledge and shoot again. You will succeed

“Desire” was not only the title of the poem, but also what I initially felt towards the poem. I’ve never been like those people who automatically know the central idea the moment they read a poem, but I had that desire to identify a central message. Without even realizing it, I automatically began to read the poem scanning for a meaning, the central idea, something to grasp onto. Just like the bees, I found myself buzzing around searching for a meaning or as Billy Collins states in his poem, I was trying to “...torture a confession out of it” (Collins 14). Looking back, I realize how similar I am to the bees in this poem, like the bees, I wasn’t sure how to get to my destination.…

When one is separated from those they are supposed to be closest with, they will often look to fill that emotional gap with some form of self expression of comfort. As in Cisneros’ personal essay “Ghosts and Voices: Writing from Obsession”, the distance I lived from my family, both literally and metaphorically, helped to shape myself and my voice. Since both my parents originally hailed from Montreal, the majority of my family remains there to this day. While I am quite close with everyone, there has always been a gap between our existences. Furthermore, being the only openly LGBTQ+ member of my family served to form a greater divide between myself and my inherently Irish Christian loved ones.…

In the literacy narrative, I explained my experience with growing up thinking I was not as smart as the other kids and how I overcame my fear of not being good enough and how that made me a more determined worker. I think my strength is putting the reader in my shoes to show what it was like being put in the special group. However, I think my essay can be improved towards the end of the essay with the conclusion and a better transition to it. The purpose of the text analysis essay was to analyze the music video for the song “A Little More Love” by Machine Gun Kelly featuring Victoria Monte.…

The day started like any other, but the same could not be said for how it ended. I arrived at the town golf course, Longshore, about 30 minutes before my tee time. There was slight cloud coverage, minimal wind, and a comfortable temperature. Glints of sun through the clouds periodically illuminated blades of grass, almost signaling for the ball to be hit there. The bentgrass took a deep, rich shade of green from the recent douses of rain.…

The real proof of existence Descartes built his philosophy from the very bottom. He took nothing for granted. “I think therefore I am” is not the beginning of his philosophy; it is the first important conclusion on which he builds his further meditations. But what if the whole proof of existence starts with wondering? Descartes didn’t write anything about wondering in his “Discourse on Method”, but he gave it a big part in his meditations and in “The Passion of the Soul”.…

Where can lush fairways, meticulously carved acres of beautiful pine, and oak trees be seen? A golf course presents an opportunity to see the beauty of nature, in a calming, and enlightened environment, while giving a competitor of any age or skill level a challenging, but exciting experience. Golf is perhaps the most intriguing, deep-seated game due to its beautiful golf courses, intense preparation, and clear mindset. Firstly, a golf course is the centerpiece of the game, carved through thick forests, laying stunningly next to the ocean, or streaming through gaping valleys.…
