There are countless things we can learn from the Bible. Some of these can be placed in the same category or they have the same theme they are trying to get across. A very important message we see repeatedly throughout the bible is that we were saved by Jesus Christ and his sacrificial death is the reason we have a chance at salvation today. Another theme that is often mentioned in the bible is that the Kingdom of God is near. This means we need to repent for our sins and we need to prepare ourselves for Judgment day. Heartfelt actions of repentance brings us into a reality with Jesus that changes the direction of our life. Constant communication with God makes it impossible for evil to corrupt us. So we need to constantly be asking ourselves the question would we be accepted in his kingdom if he came right now. There are many sins that we can get caught up in that can lead us away from our path of repentance. One can be being rich. In Mark 10:25 it says “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”. This refers to greed and how earthly things can be put in front of God when it should be the other way around. If we don’t put God before everything else then it becomes much more difficult to enter his kingdom than if he is our number one priority. In Matthew 21:31 it says …”“Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.”... This verse also refers to greed and how even a corrupt tax collector or a prostitute will be let in if they repent then if greed overcomes us. This is an example of how repentance gives us a chance at salvation and a chance at entering the Kingdom of God. Jesus said that we need to stay true to only Christianity and not look at

In the Golden Booklet of the True Christian Life by John Calvin, there are five ways of giving glory to God, which simplifies down to the Five Solas: Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria. Glory, in this case, is defined as high renown or honor won by notable achievements; those general achievements, which happen to also be summarizations of the Reformations’ theological convictions, are through the individual Solas. Out of the Five Solas that emerged, Sola Scriptura, where the Bible contains the highest authority, is the most relevant in today’s culture for it is the foundation of Christianity, it contains life-changing messages, and it is a way of knowing God and His powers of influence. The Bible…

One way in which Maugham presents ideas of love and desire is destructively. This is evident when Kitty’s love for Charlie leads to Walter presenting her with an ultimatum; either Walter ‘files for a petition’ or she goes with him to Mei-Tan-Fu. Maugham punishes Kitty’s choices and sends her to her potential death, which shows that Kitty’s adultery can have dire consequences. Kitty’s love for Charlie leads to her virtual death sentence and Walter’s self-hatred of having an unrequited love causes him to go with her into a ‘cholera epidemic’. Maugham himself was a homosexual and knew about the need to hide this from the disapproving society he lived in.…

Every Psalm that I have read thus far has shown me more and more about God’s grace and how we must give him praise every single day. Not just because of the sole fact that he is our Creator but, because every day each and every one of us go through so many things and he is always there for us no matter what. He is the only one who chooses between giving us life and death, and he is the only one who continuously shows us grace above all else. Philosophical evaluation deals with evaluation of one's personal world view. Introduction into this book and videos covers how we need to set long term goals, but before doing so we need to ask ourselves some questions. Before we can set those goals we should seek to know Christ. This can be done by reading the four gospels and seeing what Jesus did, what we can learn from him, and how does it relate to us? Jesus’ last commandment was to go and make disciples, and while principles never change, our methods have to change in order to reach the current generation, and each beyond. As we get into the chapters we learn that men are God’s method and while they may seem unlearned or ignorant by man’s standards, God uses those willing to learn and raises them into leadership.…
