Many people think of cultures and habits of their own country when they hear the words “Cross Cultural”. Communication can be one of the example for it. According to Wikipedia, Cross cultural communication is a field of study which looks at how people communicates who has different cultural backgrounds. Sure, this affects those people to have troubles for communicating with other people, and for that, there is a way to solve this problem called the “6 stumbling blocks”. That means that you should not be approving what is been said, but try to understand what other people wants to say. You might think that you cannot approve to what the other people from different cultures say, because your culture thinks that it is a bad manner. However, it is important for you to understand other cultures in order to know how you and other cultures are different. In the movie that i’ve been saying, the Japanese people surprised at how the foreigner, which was the guest, was slurping the noodle. People get shocked at other cultures, for example, on the third movie, which was the Chinese people and a foreigner eating a soup with kind of like an eel. Some people think it’s disgusting to eat eels, just like eating frogs in other country. As well as we think it is disgusting, the man in the movie also was surprised to see what he was going to eat, and he was unwilling to eat it. However he ate it bearing. That is a way good way of having cultural communication, because there won’t be any arguments. The assumption of similarities is also an important thing. The way of thinking people are people is one of it. You think all people are the same. However, knowing other cultures make you feel like you and others are different.
