The Importance Of Collaboration

Collaboration as we know is the process of working together with an individual or group in order to accomplish or achieve a task successfully. Collaboration depends largely on the ability to join, to commit yourself to working with others, listening to what others are saying and encouraging others to state their opinion. After reading the articles, collaboration was defined to help reduce crime and to help the community. Indeed, fragmentation is an obstacle the interferes with the success of collaboration within the community. Reading these articles and understanding collaboration made me realize that interning at a law firm, a lot of collaboration does exist. It is different from interning at a police department or at a youth center. You can’t technically pursue the case with out working together. I’m only going to briefly describe a few of them. You need the doctor either and M.D. or D.C. to evaluate the client and see if they need medical treatment, how long do they need it for and if they can work or not. This is done for every client, but the the doctor that they get sent to depends on the injury, where they live and on the insurance. A medical provider network (MPN) is an entity or group of health care providers set up by an insurer or self-insured employer. Under state regulations, each MPN must include a mix of doctors specializing in work-related injuries and doctors with expertise in general areas of medicine. Insurance and doctors also have their own “collaboration”, in order to be seen with a doctor from the MPN you need to obtain the medical treatment authorization (4600 letter).
