It also keeps the brain healthy because the brain remains protected as long is it is always being used. People who doesn't use much brain activity are at risk for Alzheimer's disease.
LANGUAGE LEARNING
Another exercise you can do for your brain is to challenge it to learn a new language. A baby’s mind functions so well when it is trying to understand what each word means. If English is not the child's mother-tongue, it will be taught at school, and the brain stores that information as a new language. That is why when a person can speak three or more languages, they are considered to be incredibly brilliant, because their brains opened up certain pathways for that secondary languages that they learned. A person has about 5,000 taste buds or more, and each of these taste buds have 100 sensory cells that are most commonly stimulated by sugar, salt, and other acid. These sensory cells are the ones sending impulses to the cranial nerves, which can be found in the brainstem. It would then send the message to the thalamus going to the cerebral cortex that tells us what we just tasted. It may be a long process but it is obviously fast especially if we have tasted the food before. So if you try tasting foods that you have never tried, it would then be analyzed by the brain since it is such an unusual taste.
