Various man made products and medicines are brought to consumers every year by way of product testing on animals. These processes have causes alarm and concern for those who believe animals may be endangered by these testing processes. The industry backs their animal testing processes and procedures as non-harmful to the test subjects. The concerns of those who believe animals are being harmed and those who believe they are not harming animals a clearer understanding of the various views will prove helpful in understanding and improving the process of animals being used to test products for human use.
To begin it should be noted that since 500 B.C. testing has been applied to animals in many different forms. Not everyone is against it and some people thin there is nothing wrong with it. These individuals would argue that all testing is necessary. Most believe animals were created for our pleasure, which is true, but I’m not sure if I would categorize unrestricted laboratory testing as pleasurable. Yes there have been many benefits from animal testing like medications for cancer, AIDS, and other medical issues. Animal testing is not all bad, but it’s not all good either. This is a subject that demands a moderate bias. For some people Working in a laboratory is just a job even if it’s being a janitor. Sometimes we categorize all the people in this one big group of evil hooligans when some of them just want to keep a job to provide for themselves or their family. So why not figure out a way to change the testing and keep all the same
