But I feel as though he only touched lightly on the fact that children tend to reenact things that they see on TV and some of these TV shows have some very dangerous acts. Not to mention that they are “reality” so the children think that just because it is on a show that it must be real. I know these shows tend to put a message up saying that the stunts are in a controlled environment and that they should not be attempted at home, but c’mon, who wouldn’t want to try and jump a mini tricycle off of a 30 or so foot jump? I’m only kidding, but it makes a good point doesn’t it, it makes a point that the acts really are dangerous and children don’t think things through all the way. Although I did have to nitpick that, I do like the fact that he went through and explained how to talk to your children about these TV shows. Parents need to know how to discuss these things and I am glad that he was there to write it all out. Bliss did a very good job of explaining his reasoning and I am glad that I had a chance to read
