All the staff we met were friendly and helpful and, best of all, patiently indulged my insistence on speaking to them in German. At dinner and at breakfast the staff were attentive and responded quickly to requests. We didn 't arrive until around 7.30 pm and were pleased to learn the restaurant was open until 9.00 pm. Of course, you will be served at any time until then; when we came back from a post-dinner walk there were still diners in the restaurant at 10.00 pm.
The menu is quite varied but there is an emphasis on regional (Frankish) specialities and seasonal produce. Carnivores may be interested in the steak options, but vegetarians are catered for with a few different options. I chose a pork dish that came with delicious spätzle; our driver had a steak with blue cheese; and my partner chose some kind of local sausages. We all thought the food was delicious. You can expect to pay between around €9 - 16 for a main course.
We were able to enjoy both meals on the terrace but there are only a few tables there. The restaurant interior is spacious but cosy with little nooks and crannies. I should imagine it 's a really nice place to dine on winter
